Choosing and preparing for a class
Which course should I choose?
Adult First Aid/CPR/AED covers adult skills. Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED focuses on children and infants. Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED covers both and is available in classroom ($123) or blended learning ($110). Adult First Aid/CPR/AED classroom and blended options are $102; Pediatric blended is $102. The Adult CPR/AED online-only course is $47 and has no in-person skills session. Check the exact course and hands-on requirements with your employer or licensing program before paying.
Is BLS the same as First Aid/CPR/AED?
No. BLS is a separate course type often requested for healthcare roles. The current BNA public schedule lists First Aid/CPR/AED courses and an online-only Adult CPR/AED course, not a BLS class. If your requirement says BLS, ask your employer which credential it accepts and contact BNA about availability before purchasing.
What is the difference between classroom and blended learning?
Classroom training is delivered in person. Blended learning combines an assigned online portion with a scheduled in-person skills session. Both formats require successful completion of the applicable course requirements. The $47 Adult CPR/AED online-only option does not include an in-person skills session.
When must I finish the blended online portion?
Complete the assigned online portion before your scheduled hands-on session and bring proof of completion. Use the access and instructions supplied with your registration. If the link or completion record is missing, contact BNA before class; do not assume the online-only product replaces a blended skills session.
What should I bring?
Bring your registration confirmation, the email address used at checkout, proof that your blended online portion is complete if applicable, and any course-specific instructions in your confirmation. Wear comfortable clothing for floor-level skills practice. Your confirmation includes the exact Dayton-area location.
What if I arrive late?
Please arrive ready to begin at the listed time. Required instruction and skills cannot be skipped. If you expect to be late, contact BNA as soon as possible; entry, completion, and any change of date depend on the course requirements and the class-change policy.
Certificates and class changes
When will I receive a certificate?
A digital American Red Cross certificate is issued after you successfully complete every requirement for the specific course and the course record is processed. Payment or attendance alone does not guarantee certification. Use the correct participant email at registration.
How can I retrieve my certificate?
Check the inbox and spam folder for the participant email used at registration. If you cannot locate it, use the American Red Cross digital certificate lookup with your name and email, or contact BNA with your class date and registration email so the course record can be checked.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
The September 26, 2026 policy bases class refunds on notice before class: full refund at 15+ days; 90% at 8–14 days; 75% at 3–7 days; 50% at 1–2 days; and no refund on the class date or for a no-show. Eligible transfers depend on timing, seat availability, prerequisites and written BNA confirmation. A same-day/no-show transfer may be requested once for a $25 fee. Submit the request through the BNA contact form; see the complete policy below for digital-course charges and other conditions.
What if BNA changes a class?
If BNA cancels a paid class and cannot provide it as scheduled, you may choose an equivalent available class at no additional charge or a full refund of the amount paid directly to BNA for that class. Weather, emergencies and other circumstances may require an alternative date; the complete policy below explains these situations.
Groups, dates and equipment
When are public classes offered?
The public calendar lists Monday blended, Wednesday classroom, and daytime Friday offerings, up to six months ahead. There are no Saturday classes or Friday evening classes. Tuesday and Thursday are kept open for groups and special requests; Sunday is by appointment only. Check the live class calendar for available dates.
Can you train a group at our location?
Yes. BNA accepts requests for private workplace, childcare, and community-group training at your location or a Dayton-area venue. Share the course needed, headcount, preferred dates and location for a quote. Organizational dates may be requested up to one year ahead.
Can I request a course or date that is not shown?
Yes. Use the contact form and include the course, format, number of learners, location and preferred dates. BNA will confirm whether it can offer that course and date before any purchase.
What equipment can I rent and what does it cost?
Subject to availability and an approved agreement, BNA offers local pickup of up to four adult manikins ($25 each per day) and four infant manikins ($20 each per day). The eight-unit set is $140 per day or $300 for three days. Two-day rentals receive 15% off the daily equipment total; longer rentals are quoted. Request availability through the contact form.
What are the rental conditions?
Rental cancellation is fully refundable at 7+ days before pickup or delivery; a 25% fee applies at 3–6 days, a 50% fee at 1–2 days, and scheduled-day cancellations or failure to pick up are nonrefundable. Date changes require availability and written confirmation. A separate rental agreement governs possession, condition, use, damage, loss and return; see the complete policy below.

Returns & Refunds Policy
REFUND, CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING, AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL POLICY
Effective Date: September 26, 2026
This Refund, Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Equipment Rental Policy applies to eligible purchases, class registrations, blended-learning courses, online or digital products, and equipment rentals offered by Bureau of Nursing Arts LLC ("BNA," "we," "us," or "our").
We understand that plans sometimes change. This policy is intended to provide customers with reasonable flexibility while allowing BNA to reserve class seats, instructors, training equipment, course materials, and rental inventory.
Nothing in this Policy limits any refund, cancellation, chargeback, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
1. CLASS CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellation fees are based on the amount of notice provided before the scheduled class.
15 or more days before the scheduled class:
The customer may cancel for a full refund or transfer the registration to another available session of the same or a reasonably equivalent course at no additional charge.
8–14 days before the scheduled class:
A 10% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 90% of the eligible registration amount will be refunded. Instead of cancelling, the customer may transfer to another available session at no additional charge.
3–7 days before the scheduled class:
A 25% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 75% of the eligible registration amount will be refunded. Instead of cancelling, the customer may request one complimentary transfer to another available session.
1–2 days before the scheduled class:
A 50% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 50% of the eligible registration amount will be refunded. Instead of cancelling, the customer may request one transfer to another available session, subject to seat availability.
Day of class or no-show:
Registration fees are nonrefundable. A customer who misses the scheduled class may request one transfer to another available session for a $25 rescheduling fee, subject to seat availability, course requirements, and any applicable third-party course fees.
Cancellation timing is determined by the date and time BNA receives the customer's request through the Website contact form.
2. CLASS RESCHEDULING AND TRANSFERS
Eligible registrations may be transferred to another available session of the same or a reasonably equivalent course in accordance with Section 1.
All transfers are subject to:
- Seat availability;
- Applicable course requirements;
- Completion of required prerequisites;
- Any applicable third-party or digital-course restrictions; and
- Written confirmation from BNA.
Submitting a request does not automatically change a registration. The original class date remains in effect until BNA confirms the transfer in writing.
Unless otherwise approved by BNA, a registration that has already been transferred once is not eligible for an additional complimentary transfer.
Late arrival, failure to attend, failure to complete required prerequisites, failure to complete a required blended-learning component by the applicable deadline, removal for unsafe or disruptive conduct, or inability to satisfy applicable course requirements does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.
3. BLENDED-LEARNING, ONLINE, AND DIGITAL PRODUCTS
Some BNA courses may include an online or digital component provided by BNA or a third-party training organization.
Once online course access, digital credentials, redemption information, downloadable materials, or similar digital content has been issued, activated, redeemed, downloaded, or accessed, any associated digital or third-party charge already incurred by BNA may be nonrefundable.
For a blended-learning registration, only the portion of the payment that remains eligible for refund after any applicable nonrefundable digital or third-party charge will be subject to the cancellation percentages in Section 1.
Participants are responsible for completing required online or blended-learning components by any stated deadline before attending the applicable in-person skills session.
Customers are responsible for confirming that an online-only or blended course satisfies the requirements of their employer, school, licensing authority, credentialing organization, or other third party before purchasing.
A third party's refusal to accept a course or credential does not automatically create a right to a refund.
Nothing in this section limits rights provided by applicable law.
4. EQUIPMENT RENTAL CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Equipment reservations require BNA to remove reserved equipment from availability to other customers. Rental cancellation fees are therefore based on the amount of notice provided before the scheduled pickup or delivery.
7 or more days before scheduled pickup or delivery:
The customer may cancel for a full refund or request one transfer of the reservation to another available rental date at no additional charge.
3–6 days before scheduled pickup or delivery:
A 25% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 75% of the eligible rental charge will be refunded. Instead of cancelling, the customer may request one complimentary date change, subject to equipment availability.
1–2 days before scheduled pickup or delivery:
A 50% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 50% of the eligible rental charge will be refunded. Instead of cancelling, the customer may request one date change, subject to equipment availability.
Scheduled pickup/delivery date or failure to pick up reserved equipment:
Rental charges are nonrefundable because the equipment was reserved for the customer and unavailable for other bookings.
5. EQUIPMENT RENTAL CHANGES
Requests to change rental dates, pickup times, quantities, equipment selections, accessories, delivery arrangements, or rental periods are subject to equipment availability and written confirmation by BNA.
Additional rental time, quantities, delivery services, accessories, deposits, replacement items, or upgraded equipment may result in additional charges.
Submitting a change request does not modify the existing reservation until BNA confirms the change in writing.
Early return of equipment, failure to use rented equipment, or use of fewer items than originally reserved does not automatically create a right to a partial or full refund.
Rental customers remain subject to the terms of any separate Equipment Rental Agreement, including applicable requirements concerning deposits, possession, proper use, equipment condition, cleaning, return deadlines, loss, theft, damage, and replacement costs.
If there is a conflict between this Policy and an Equipment Rental Agreement concerning the possession, condition, use, damage, loss, or return of rented equipment, the applicable Equipment Rental Agreement will control with respect to those matters, except where prohibited by law.
6. BNA-INITIATED CLASS CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES
BNA may change an instructor, facility, classroom, start time, or other nonmaterial logistical detail when reasonably necessary.
If BNA cancels a paid class and cannot provide the class as scheduled, the affected customer may choose:
- A transfer to another available equivalent class at no additional charge; or
- A full refund of the amount paid directly to BNA for the affected class.
If severe weather, emergencies, facility closures, public-safety concerns, instructor emergencies, or circumstances beyond BNA's reasonable control require a class to be rescheduled, BNA will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative date.
Refund rights required by applicable law remain unaffected.
Except where required by law, BNA is not responsible for transportation, lodging, childcare, missed work, third-party purchases, or other incidental expenses resulting from a cancellation, rescheduling, or other schedule change.
7. BNA-INITIATED RENTAL CANCELLATIONS
If BNA is unable to provide reserved equipment and cannot provide a reasonably equivalent replacement acceptable to the customer, the customer may choose:
- A transfer of the rental payment to another mutually available rental date; or
- A full refund of the amount paid directly to BNA for the affected rental.
A substitution will not be considered accepted until agreed to by the customer.
8. LATE ARRIVALS AND NO-SHOWS
Participants are responsible for arriving at the location identified in their registration confirmation at the required time.
Because CPR and related training courses may contain required instructional, skills, or assessment components, a participant who arrives too late to satisfy applicable course requirements may be unable to participate or complete the course.
A late arrival that prevents course completion is treated according to the applicable same-day provisions of this Policy unless BNA determines otherwise.
Failure to attend a scheduled class without cancellation or rescheduling is considered a no-show.
No-shows are nonrefundable but may be eligible for the one-time $25 rescheduling option described in Section 1.
9. DUPLICATE OR INCORRECT CHARGES
Customers should promptly report suspected duplicate charges, incorrect charges, or transaction errors through the Website contact form.
Verified billing errors will be corrected.
Customers are encouraged to contact BNA regarding a suspected billing issue before initiating a payment dispute so that BNA has an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.
Nothing in this provision requires a customer to waive any right or remedy available under applicable law.
10. REFUND PROCESSING
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
Refund processing times vary depending on the payment processor, card issuer, and customer's financial institution. BNA cannot guarantee the date on which an approved refund will appear in the customer's account.
Where a third-party digital course, course material, processing component, or similar item has already been issued or incurred and is nonrefundable, that amount may be deducted from an otherwise eligible refund when permitted by law and appropriately disclosed.
11. HOW TO REQUEST A CANCELLATION, REFUND, TRANSFER, OR RENTAL CHANGE
Requests should be submitted through:
bureauofnursingarts.com/contact
Please provide:
- Purchaser's name;
- Email address used for the purchase;
- Order or registration number, if available;
- Class, product, or equipment rental purchased;
- Scheduled class, pickup, or delivery date; and
- Requested resolution.
Customers should not submit complete payment-card numbers, banking credentials, or unnecessary medical information through the contact form.
For purposes of determining a cancellation deadline, a request is considered received when it is successfully submitted through the Website contact form.
A requested transfer, rescheduling, rental modification, or other change is not approved until BNA provides written confirmation.
12. POLICY ACCEPTANCE
By completing a purchase, class registration, or equipment-rental reservation through BNA, the customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review this Policy and agrees that the transaction is subject to the applicable cancellation, refund, rescheduling, and rental terms stated above.
This Policy should be reviewed together with any applicable Terms and Conditions, course requirements, checkout disclosures, or Equipment Rental Agreement.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
